Day one of a twenty six week training plan. Not a day to miss. I've managed to book a squash game for 9am though so I'd need to ensure I was out and back in time to make an early train.
With that in mind I fell out of bed at 0535 and put myself into my runners. The plan starts easy, just 30 minutes easy. I got myself out of the front door at 6am and went on a loop of Stansted. My pace was easy, if anything on the slow side. I was just happy to be out and rather than push the pace I wanted to nurse a slightly dodgy Achilles.
So that's day one done. Not a run I'll remember at the end of the Helsinki efforts, yet banked miles for the future.
Running & eating. And running for eating. And eating because of running. And running due to eating....
